At Wera primary school , our mission is to break the cycle of poverty through the power of education. We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child—regardless of their background—feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

Through free, high-quality education, along with daily nourishment, emotional guidance, and skill development, we help children build the foundation they need for a brighter future. Our goal is not only to teach, but to empower—to turn challenges into opportunities and spark hope in every young heart.

Since our founding in 2008, we’ve educated over 1000 students, distributed thousands of meals, and empowered countless families. From improving literacy rates to increasing school attendance, our impact is both measurable and deeply personal.

Ms. Grace Mwangi

Head Teacher

With over 12 years of experience in community-based education, Ms. Grace leads our academic team with passion and purpose. She believes every child deserves a chance to succeed and works tirelessly to make the classroom a space of joy, growth, and possibility.

Mr. Daniel Otieno

Student Mentor & Counselor

Daniel provides emotional support and life guidance to students who face challenges outside the classroom. His calm, caring presence helps children feel heard, valued, and confident as they navigate both school and personal struggles.

Ms. Lydia Njeri

Program Coordinator

Lydia manages our daily meal program, school supplies distribution, and extracurricular activities. She’s the reason everything runs smoothly—and the students love her warm energy and tireless dedication.

Mr. James Kariuki

Volunteer Coordinator

James connects kind-hearted volunteers with meaningful roles at our school. His ability to bring people together has helped build a strong, supportive community around our mission.
